contract administration
- administer contracts throughout all stages of project execution.
- review and interpret contract provisions and advise project management on contractual rights and obligations.
- develop and review particular conditions of contract.
- develop and review employer's requirements.
- review and negotiate amendments, supplemental agreements, and commercial terms.
- monitor compliance with contractual obligations by contractors, suppliers, consultants, and subcontractors.
- prepare contractual recommendations for project management.

claims management
- prepare, evaluate, negotiate, and defend claims relating to:
- extension of time (eot)
- variations
- additional compensation
- prolongation costs
- contractual entitlements
- assess entitlement, contractual merit, supporting records, and evidence submitted with contractor claims.
- identify weaknesses in contractor submissions and prepare formal claim rebuttals.
- support preparation and administration of employer claims where applicable.
- lead commercial negotiations relating to claims and changes.

contractual correspondence
- draft contractual notices, responses, determinations, instructions, and formal communications.
- maintain registers of:
- notices
- correspondence
- claims
- variations
- contractual obligations
- monitor contractual response periods and time-bar requirements.
- ensure compliance with notice procedures specified within contracts.

commercial risk management
- identify contractual and commercial risks.
- evaluate potential liability exposure.
- recommend mitigation measures.
- support project management in commercial decision-making.
- monitor risk registers and commercial exposure throughout project execution.

dispute resolution
- participate in dispute avoidance and dispute management processes.
- support negotiations and settlement discussions.
- prepare contractual documentation and evidence packages.
- coordinate with legal advisers and external consultants.
- support mediation, arbitration, and litigation proceedings.
- assist in preparation of witness statements, chronologies, claim narratives, and contractual analyses.

contract compliance
- monitor contractor compliance with contractual requirements.
- review contractual deliverables and notices.
- verify compliance with procedures relating to claims, changes, payment applications, and approvals.
- advise project management on contractual remedies available under the contract.

reporting
- prepare reports covering:
- contract status
- claims status
- variations
- commercial risks
- potential disputes
- contractor compliance
- present recommendations to senior management.

education
- degree in:
- engineering
- construction management
- quantity surveying
- commercial management
- law

experience
- minimum 10 years of experience in contract administration and claims management within epc, industrial, infrastructure, mining, oil & gas, power, or construction projects.
- demonstrated experience with fidic contract forms, particularly yellow book and red book.
- experience in preparing particular conditions of contract.
- experience in preparing employer's requirements.
- proven experience assessing and defending contractor claims for:
- extensions of time
- variations
- additional costs
- experience in arbitration and formal dispute resolution proceedings.
- experience acting for employers, engineers, project management consultants (pmc), or owner's engineers.

- advanced knowledge of:
- fidic yellow book
- fidic red book

preferred
- experience on projects exceeding usd 100 million.
- experience in international epc projects.
- experience managing multidisciplinary stakeholder environments.
- familiarity with planning and cost control principles sufficient to assess delay and cost-related claims.
- knowledge of english at an advanced level
