Haileybury Astana is seeking a passionate and dedicated Kazakh Language Teacher to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a professional who can inspire and engage students in learning the Kazakh language while incorporating innovative educational methods.

Start date: October 2026

Main Responsibilities:

Curriculum

• Understand the relationship between the UK National Curriculum, CIE, PEARSON, IBO guidelines, and Haileybury Astana's Units of Work, lesson plans, and assessments.

• Plan, prepare and document lessons.

• Plan lessons and resources that cater to students' learning needs and are aligned with the school’s expectations.
• Deliver curriculum content effectively, ensuring it challenges and engages students.
• Monitor ongoing formative assessment and prepare pupils for summative assessments (both internal and external).
• Maintain accurate, fair, and comprehensive records of assessments.
• Set high expectations for student learning, motivation, and presentation.
• Write reports on student performance as required.
• Explore, share, and implement innovative teaching methods

Welfare and Discipline

• Monitor student progress, offering guidance and support, and maintain individual student records.
• Lead Personal Development (PD) sessions.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, dress, and discipline in and outside the classroom.
• Foster a positive, focused learning atmosphere with clear expectations and strong student-teacher relationships.
• Ensure student safety and well-being, both on and off campus, in accordance with Haileybury Astana policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Kazakh Language Teaching
• At least 3 years of experience teaching the subject.
• Previous experience in an international school and familiarity with the British education system.
• Proven ability to improve student attainment and contribute to the success of the school.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage change effectively and work under pressure in dynamic environments.
• Skills to contribute positively to student behaviour management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of people.
