an international retail company is looking for a senior accountant in almaty.
key responsibilities:
- manage daily accounting activities across all accounting cycles.
- prepare financial statements, management reports and support month/year-end closing.
- monitor tax compliance, identify tax risks and opportunities, and coordinate tax audits.
- prepare monthly tax returns, tax budgets and forecasts.
- perform account reconciliations and monthly trial balance analysis.
- support budgeting, reporting and financial processes in collaboration with finance teams.
- monitor developments in kazakhstan tax and accounting legislation.
- contribute to the improvement of accounting and tax processes.
- report to the head of accounting.
requirements:
- bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or a related field.
- strong knowledge of kazakhstan accounting and tax legislation.
- experience in an international company; retail/trading and import-export experience would be an advantage.
- extensive experience with sap.
- advanced ms excel skills and strong reporting capabilities.
- fluent english.
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- proactive, well-organized and collaborative approach.
