Job Scope:

The Psychologist is responsible for identifying and addressing students’ psychological, emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs through assessments, interventions, and counseling services, while fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Conducting psychological assessments and diagnostics to identify students' cognitive, emotional, behavioral, social, and developmental needs, and preparing psychological reports and recommendations accordingly.

2. Identifying factors affecting students’ personal, emotional, social, and academic development, and providing appropriate psychological support through preventive, developmental, and counseling interventions.

3. Participating in the assessment of students with special educational needs and contributing to the development, implementation, and monitoring of individualized support plans and intervention programs.

4. Developing and delivering individual, subgroup, and group-based interventions aimed at addressing developmental, behavioral, social, and learning challenges.

5. Supporting gifted and talented students through identifying strengths, fostering personal development, and promoting the enhancement of their abilities and potential.

6. Providing consultation, guidance, and support to parents, teachers, and school staff on matters related to student development, behavior, learning, and emotional well-being.

7. Maintaining accurate, confidential, and up-to-date records, reports, and psychological documentation in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards.

8. Participating in parent meetings, multidisciplinary teams, committees, and school initiatives related to student well-being, safeguarding, inclusion, and educational support.

9. Promoting students’ psychological well-being, resilience, positive behavior, and a safe and supportive learning environment across the school community.

10. Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, child protection, health and safety, confidentiality, and professional ethical standards.

11. Pursuing continuous professional development and applying current psychological practices, methodologies, and technologies to enhance service delivery.

12. Performing other related tasks as they arise and as delegated by the School Management.

Position Requirements:

Education Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Educational Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field. Master's Degree in Educational Psychology, School Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field is preferred.

Language(s) English Proficient

Required:

Certificates Professional certification or licensure as required by local regulations is preferred.

Experience A minimum of 3 years of experience in educational psychology, school counseling, student support services, or a related field.

Requirements · Strong knowledge of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Education, the Status of a Teacher, Combating Corruption, and other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on education · Knowledge of the fundamentals of labor legislation, rules of safety and labor protection, fire protection, sanitary rules
