We provide legal services on a wide range of matters, including complex project implementation, cross-border transactions, and dispute resolution. Our clients include business owners, multinational corporations, and Kazakhstani companies operating across 9 key sectors of the economy.

Key Responsibilities

Providing contract support to a major Client - a large transnational company including:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts of varying complexity, including sophisticated mixed-type agreements tailored to the Client's specific business operations;
• Participating in negotiations with the Client's employees and business partners, including discussing contract terms and nuances in English and Russian;
• Conducting legal analysis of contracts and agreements for compliance with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the company's internal policies;
• Amending and supplementing draft contracts and agreements;
• Preparing draft contracts and agreements using the Client's standard templates;
• Assessing the legal capacity (including special legal capacity) of counterparties based on documentation provided by the Client;
• Preparing concise legal opinions for the Client identifying risks associated with entering into contracts or agreements;
• Preparing monthly progress reports on completed work.

Requirements

• A legal education from top-tier university in Kazakhstan;
• LL.M. degree from a reputable international university (preferred);
• 7+ years of experience at international law firms, consulting firms, or large multinational corporate groups (preferred);
• Strong soft skills, negotiation abilities, and the capacity to identify and communicate material transaction risks in a professional yet accessible manner to the Client's employees, partners, and senior management;
• Fluency in English (minimum Upper-Intermediate level, both written and spoken);
• A strong sense of responsibility, drive, initiative, diligence, the ability and willingness to work both independently and as part of a team, readiness to manage a high workload, and resilience under pressure;
• Candidates are encouraged to include in their CV a summary of projects they have been involved in over the past 2–3 years, as well as key professional achievements.

What We Offer

Employment: Official employment in full compliance with the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (5/2); hybrid work arrangement available upon successful completion of the probationary period;

Location: A modern office in an environmentally clean area of Almaty;

Compensation: Competitive salary (discussed individually, commensurate with experience and qualifications);

Additional benefits: Corporate lunch once a week; corporate taxi service after 8:00 PM for late working hours; participation in corporate events.
