Job Description:

Steel Erectors are essential in the assembly and installation of steel structures and components used in industrial and construction projects.

Their primary responsibility on-site is to assemble and install structural elements—such as beams, columns, and trusses—typically using bolted connections. This is performed with the support of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), cranes, hoists, and rigging systems to construct the steel framework of buildings, bridges, and other large-scale structures.

Candidate Requirements:

• Exhibit a professional and proactive approach to all tasks and work well within a team environment.
• Maintain a high standard of work and adhere to project deadlines.
• Fluent in English to communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and project teams.
• Very good MEWP (mobile elevating platform) control skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to ensure precise fabrication and installation.
• Experience with steel structures assembly.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in steel constructions erection.
• Familiarity with handling large, heavy materials and performing precise structural assembly or erection tasks.
• Strong commitment to safety regulations and procedures, with an ability to work in high-risk environments (e.g., working at heights).
• Must adhere to health and safety standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Must be able to travel to job sites as required.
• Capable of working in physically demanding conditions, including lifting heavy materials, working at heights (using mobile elevating platform), and performing tasks in various weather conditions.
• Experienced in rigging and crane operations (for steel erectors) for the safe lifting and positioning of steel components.

The candidate will be assessed on the following:

• Ability to understand the drawing and follow the required steps.

• Control of MEWP.

• Proper use of PPE.
• Clean and organized work area.
