Material Planning & Coordination

• Coordinate delivery schedules of construction materials with procurement, suppliers, and logistics teams.
• Ensure materials are available on site according to the construction schedule.
• Monitor material status including ordered, shipped, received, and issued materials.
• Track long lead items and critical materials.

Receiving & Inspection

• Coordinate receiving of materials delivered to the site.
• Verify delivery against purchase orders, packing lists, and material requisitions.
• Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies immediately.
• Coordinate with Quality Control for material inspection when required.

Warehouse & Storage Control

• Ensure proper storage and preservation of materials in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
• Maintain organized warehouse and laydown areas.
• Ensure materials are labeled, tagged, and stored according to project procedures.

Material Issuance

• Coordinate material issuance to construction teams based on approved material requests.
• Maintain accurate records of issued materials.
• Monitor stock levels and inform procurement of shortages.

Inventory & Documentation

• Maintain accurate inventory records and material tracking logs.
• Update material status in project systems (ERP, SAP, Excel trackers, etc.).
• Prepare material reports including:
• Material receipt reports
• Stock reports
• Material shortage reports
• Consumption reports

Coordination with Project Teams

• Work closely with:
• Construction team
• Procurement department
• Logistics team
• Quality Control
• Warehouse personnel
• Support construction supervisors with material availability information.
